The Chinese Edition of Sunday Oktoechos

The China Orthodox Press published in Hong Kong Chinese edition of the key liturgical book, Sunday Oktoechos. This project is being undertaken to make Divine worship available for Chinese speaking believers both in the parishes where it is used for Divine services and for the home prayer of Chinese lay people who cannot attend church worship on Sundays.

The Edition composed from Eight volumes of Oktoechos (36 pages of each) with parallel English and Chinese text, liturgical instructions and a short appendix of Chinese vocal chanting. Current edition based of the Chinese text translated by Beijing Orthodox Ecclesiastical Mission in the XIX century, substantially edited and reduced to the contemporary standard of liturgical language.
