In 2010 in Moscow with the blessing of Patriarch Cyril International Literary Contest "Face of Russia" will be held. In Russia it has the support of the Ministries and departments of the Russian Nobility Assembly, and many other representative social organizations, the descendants of the ancient Russian aristocratic families and influential figures in science and culture.

Competition "Face of Russia" *- this is an essay contest for school and high school age, living in Russia and abroad, about outstanding personalities of the Russia's past, who made the greatest contribution to the spiritual, cultural, intellectual development of Russia, its national power, creation of the ideals of good, love, peaceful coexistence.

The objectives of the contest:

• Encourage children and teens to be interested in the great history of Russia via persons of its best representatives;
• Remember the names of the unjustly forgotten figures in Russian history, not included in school and university courses in such subjects as history, and famous - look in terms of spiritual contribution to the development of national culture, a Russian national identity;
• To teach young people is often now forgotten the ideals of love, sacrifice, courage, selfless work for the benefit of the Motherland;
• Get the possibility of combining the spiritual and cultural basis of the Russian people in Russia and abroad;
• Children of representatives of the Russian diaspora all waves residing in the territory of the former USSR and abroad, to acquire and established linkages with the past historical homeland, not to forget their roots, to acquire the spiritual and moral support for life in an environment intercultural.
• Draw the attention of the public, politicians and business elite to the problem of properly educating the younger generation and youth in the ideals of dignity in the spirit of the revival of spiritual and cultural traditions of old Russia;
• To support the Russian language in Russia, as well as in the former Soviet Union and abroad.

Works will be accepted at the competition site www.faceofrussia.ru before August 1, 2010 in electronic form, in three age groups: 7-10, 11-14, 15-18. There also will exhibit the best works.
